I'm back writing my blog

Well huge apologies for not writing a post for such a long time, I'm afraid life has been busy for us Tricker's, but Im back to share more of my paintings, painting tips for students and other creative projects that come my way.

These are the creative projects that I have worked on this spring and summer.

During April and May I was busy preparing a painted piano for the Cheltenham Music Festival. It was a great project to do ,challenging and fun. After cleaning and priming the piano I set to designing and painting the piano carcus with a local Cleeve hill landscape and planted the top and keyboard with plants that can be found up the hill.

The back was constructed with a removable panel to be framed at a later date. The piano is being auctioned for the charity Elizabeths Footprint.

the piano lived on our patio for a couple of months until it moved outside of Waterstones in the middle of town

The interior space of the piano was fitted with a mechanism that played the Great Bell chant, a beautiful Buddhist prayer.

It was such a privilege to be part of this amazing Piano trail, a big thank you to Niki Whitfield for involving me and for all her hard work in getting everyone together to pull this event off.
